Marie and I absolutely love Mexico

We have visited Mexico so many times with the three RVs we owned. Our favorite area is the Yucatan with all the ancient temples and pyramids…like this “chichenitza ruinas”.R1-7R1-56

We visited all the ruins and major cities in the Yucatan. We also stopped at small open-air stands, where in one, I bought a stone carving.  IMG_1036R1-01598-0003

The log canoe races

Marie and I, along with a few other friends, sailed over to St. Michael’s on the eastern shore of Maryland to witness the log canoe races held once a year. It was thrilling to watch! We had never seen anything like it. 142f3274-1

The photographer who took this great  picture, John Pavoncello, gave me permission twice to use it, once in my book, which is in black and white, and again here in color. You can read all about this on page thirteen in my book.

You did a terrific job, John, and I want to thank you for letting me use it again.

My four-footed neighbors

I tell all the buyers of my book, incredible virgin island adventure, that Marie and I live out in the country where our closest neighbors are four-footed. Therefore, we seldom go to town…only as needed.

The Book 005

I give them our next scheduled “to town” trip, and that we will mail their book at that time. They all seem happy to get a quick email regarding their order…and I love happy buyers!

Books reordered—need room for them!

Hi folks. I have reordered 100 copies of my book. Now I need to sell the books I have on hand to make room for the new batch.

I should digress here and tell you about the flints I salvaged from a ship that sank near Great Thatch Island during a hurricane in 1785. Flints were used by our ancestors in the firing mechanism of muzzle-loading weapons.

Research determined that the ship that went down was the slave ship, Constantine. The slaves had been sold, probably is Dominica, and the crew was saved.

Think about it for a moment…this all happened over 200 years ago…back when George Washington and Ben Franklin lived!

While my supply of flints last, I will include a free one in each book I sell, and a Certificate of Authenticity. .shadow boxes 034

Thank you, and I hope you help me make room for the reorder.

Oil a go-go!

Marie’s niece, Gaylor Rehfeldt, Forwarded me some startling news about a humongous amount of oil found out in the Northwest states. Apparently we have discovered a vast amount of oil which is greater than all the world’s supply in the oil supplying countries combined! This stuff blows you mind!

I have Forwarded her email to several of my friends. I hope they will do the same to their friends.
