Flints salvaged from a 1785 shipwreck.

Back in the days of our ancestors flints were used in the firing mechanism of muzzle-loading weapons.

You can read about me finding and salvaging these flints on page 98 of my book.

For you folks who have not already bought a copy of my book, you can do so now and own one of the flints! You can deal with me directly. I will accept your personal check for $29.95 and will include a flint and a “Certificate of Authenticity” in your book.

Just imagine…holding in your hand something over 200 years old. That’s back when George Washington and Ben Franklin were alive!

I also offer Free Shipping…First Class.

You can get my mailing address by emailing me at GERIEM@PEOPLEPC.COM

George and his wife, Marie, sailed professionally, chartering boats in the Bahamas, then in the Virgin Islands. They then leased an uninhabited island, Little Thatch, in the British Virgin Islands, and turned it into a small hotel. After six years, they left the island and bought a lovely beachfront property on Jost Van Dyke (BVI) where they built Sandcastle Hotel and the original Soggy Dollar Bar. George is now the author of Incredible Virgin Island Adventure: A True Story.
