Well, folks, I’m feeling a little better today and capable of proceeding with this dreadful subject. The doctor I saw at Moffitt went over all the numerous facets of melanoma with me. Basically, a lot depends on whether it has spread, and if so, how much and to where. As I understand it, this will be determined the next time I go for treatment. They will inject something that will flow through me to find out what’s going on and where. Also, they will remove the “source” place and sew it up.
While I was there, the doctor removed another suspicious small lump in my armpit and sewed it up. He used something before the numbing needle so I had no pain whatsoever during the short operation. Wish me luck.
