It takes action!

I read something years ago that made a hell of an impression on me. It actually helped me build Sandcastle Hotel! And I want to pass it on to you. Here are my notes.

Making things happen takes action. When we let go of fears, we see and act at levels beyond what we have imagined possible. It is then, and only then, that we begin to discover our real selves and take advantage of our full potential.

A person who lets himself go completely, unfettered, totally throwing himself into whatever he is doing, ignoring distracting obstacles, will reach phenomenal heights of success. These people have reached a state close to their true selves.

So go ahead, have courage, unleash your true self and see what you can accomplish. But remember—it takes action!

George and his wife, Marie, sailed professionally, chartering boats in the Bahamas, then in the Virgin Islands. They then leased an uninhabited island, Little Thatch, in the British Virgin Islands, and turned it into a small hotel. After six years, they left the island and bought a lovely beachfront property on Jost Van Dyke (BVI) where they built Sandcastle Hotel and the original Soggy Dollar Bar. George is now the author of Incredible Virgin Island Adventure: A True Story.
