On Wednesday night, Sept. 22, My wife Marie and I watched the bright Harvest Moon, with the planet Jupiter nearby.Luckily, we had heard about it on TV. The full moon occurred on the same night as the fall equinox (whatever that is) Apparently this hasn’t happened since 1991 and will not happen again until 2029, according to astronomer, Tony Phillips in a NASA announcement. Marie and I won’t be around to see that one, I’m sure!
This was a thrilling sight. The full moon was huge, about half again its normal size. While we were watching this, a plane’s jet stream appeared heading at the planet. It must have been a thrilling sight for the passengers!
My puny little digital camera only capture two lights that I won’t even bother printing out.
